$7 Lunch: Thai Curry Simple
Price: $6.57 (incl. tax)
Meal: Massamun Chicken
Fullness Factor: Stuffed. Half for lunch, the other half for dinner.
Thai Curry Simple rocks. Previously a Barista Boyz drive through coffee shack, it’s now a walk up curry shack. If you like curry, you’ll like this place. There are only six entrées, four of which hit the $6 price point and two that top out at $7. There are both vegetarian options and meaty options. And you can select between brown and white rice.
I’ve enjoyed all of the menu items priced out at $6. They are tasty and often make two meals for me, although Massamun Chicken is the most filling. The other three tend to be lunch + afternoon snack vs. a full second meal.
Along with the genius of having only six items on the menu, they don’t have an endless supply. They close up shop at 3pm sharp, and if you wait until 2pm to have lunch (a common theme with Todd and me) they may only have one item available. I don’t mind, makes it easy to decide.

Which is statistically impossible. Except the Joe Bar inspires loyalty like no other café in town.) Across the street from the Harvard Exit movie theater in the landmark Loveless building, the Joe Bar has evolved into a crucial neighborhood nexus. Read on
