WORKTANK Website Redesign

UI/UX DESIGN | BRAND STRATEGY | BRAND EVOLUTION | AUDITS + ANALYSIS | CONTENT STRATEGY | COPYWRITING

Worktank develops and manages complete end-to-end audience experiences specializing in broadcast, hybrid, and virtual events. They were looking for a fresh website, one that that flipped the lead from a technology-driven company to a creative solutions agency. Their extensive technical expertise continues to be a primary driver, but it’s the team’s creativity that takes events to a new level. Worktank’s passion for understanding the needs of businesses and creating connections with audiences was our north star.

Our Approach

Worktank’s legacy website had fallen into the SEO trap of repetitive, circuitous content. It could work harder to inspire target prospects and make it easier to reach out for more information. The site is not only a front door, it’s also a validation tool after a pitch. The legacy site didn’t accurately reflect agency offerings or illustrate their depth and breadth as a partner. What’s more, it had been built in a needlessly complex system which made it difficult to manage internally.

We began with a competitive analysis—which companies had been a competitor and which new ballparks should Worktank be playing in. We then explored URLs. Seattle is home base, but including the city in their URL gave a sense of location-specific capabilities. They create global connections and needed the URL to set that scene. Additional URLs were added to expand the family and provide unique communication channels.
