Start your search by exploring The Philosophical Research Society.

I'm no philosopher, but “Thinking about thinking and learning about learning about thinking” is the my best summarization of the work of the PRS.
The PRS a library containing over 50,000 rare and unique volumes/media where one can immerse oneself in the world's wisdom literature, philosophy, comparative religion, mysticism and metaphysics. It's also an events space where we can experience everything from dazzling magic acts and music to mind-blowing lectures and film screenings.
The PRS is a beloved community hot spot in Los Angeles and open to smart people, artists, rebels and creative weirdos of every imaginary phylum. There's serious work being done here. And a little serious kitsch.
The center itself was founded in 1934 by dashing intellectual and author Manly Palmer Hall as a “repository of multicultural wisdom sources and a center of learning.”
The gorgeous Mayan-style building was designed by architect Robert Stacy-Judd and designated a historical-cultural site by the city of Los Angeles, as they say on their website the “PRS is dedicated to the ensoulment of all arts, sciences, and crafts.”
I honestly cannot recommend a visit to this rare gem enough. Keep an eye on thier events page for amazing things to do when you're in LA.
They also have a kick-ass gift shop.
